If you love Neil Young reissues (and who doesn't?), then this is your lucky year. This summer, Young finally released the first volume of his long-awaited Archives box set series. Last week, we reported on a forthcoming live album that Young recorded in 1992, playing acoustic versions of every song on his Harvest Moon album. And now Reprise is reissuing Young's first four solo albums on CD and 140-gram vinyl, due out November 23.
Young released his self-titled debut, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, After the Gold Rush, and Harvest during one absurdly fruitful three-year period between 1969 and 1972. All four have been remastered from their original tapes. There will also be a limited edition box set that'll include all four albums on 180-gram vinyl, as well as a limited run of 24-karat gold CDs. !!
You'll have to snap up the box set and gold CDs quickly, though. They're limited to 3000 copies and 2,500 copies and only available through Young's website and Because Sound Matters.
