It's June, the sun is IN and the World Cup is ON. I wanted to send you a short note to update you on what's going on inside this huge head of mine.
The Boo Radleys - Ok, not a Sonny Boy band but the reason we're all here.
Cherry Red are reissuing Wake Up and Giant Steps in remastered form with all relevant b sides and whatever else they could find.
I haven't done any notes for this one (it's nothing really to with me anyway), I couldn't add to the notes I wrote for the Find The Way Out and Giant Steps 10 year anniversary site anyway. It seems like a lifetime ago now, like it happened to somebody else. Anyway, the comps are out at the end of the month. Good luck to 'em.
Once again, there will be no reunion.
bravecaptain - Is dead.
The Black Serpent Choir - I still haven't finished the follow up to Lost in Time but I intend to get back to it pretty soon. I've started recording the one after though (don't ask me how these things happen). The new one 'Bartholomew Fair' is one of the best things I've done, I'm very excited about finishing it.
Martin Carr - I've written over twenty songs this year, some for my next album and some that I'm writing with other people in mind. I've never done this before and it's a completely different discipline. I'm also writing the odd song for Soundcloud to fill in the gap, usually inspired by my Twitter timeline. The first one 'Parliament of Owls' can be heard here or you can go straight to Soundcloud here. I hope you enjoy it.
